The Family Trust foundations were first formed in 1986 when a Christian children’s worker started visiting local Primary schools to deliver Christian themed assemblies. Alongside this work they also visited local mainstream Churches of various denominations to support their Sunday Schools and lead holiday clubs – The Family Trust was born!
Now a registered Christian Charity with employees, associates, valued volunteers and prayer partners, The Family Trust reaches children across Maidstone, Medway and Swale regularly by visiting over 170 schools and supporting numerous Churches with their children’s activities.
Our Christian faith is based firmly on the Bible in accordance with the Apostle’s Creed. We enjoy bringing this to life and presenting it in a way that is fun and relevant to the children, helping to enable them to make choices for themselves.
Each member of the team, either employed or a volunteer, are active Christians from local mainstream Churches and are checked with an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check as well as following our Child Protection Policy.
Where We Work
We have three offices across Kent from which we are based: Maidstone, Medway & Swale. Our teams of children’s workers use these offices as central hubs from which they visit local Primary Schools delivering a wide range of activities including: Assemblies, Kingsquads, Lessons, Godly Play & Prayer Spaces in Schools. Head over to our Contact Us page to see where you can find us! You can also view our interactive map of the schools we work in here.
